David Diaz, Manny Pacquio's opponent
Before discussing about more on Manny Pacquio. Lets examine the stats and review the profile of David Diaz also known as Dangerous. David Diaz is a Mexican American born on June 7, 1976. (David is 32 years old) Born on Chicago, Illinois. David is 135lbs on weight and 5feet and 6inches on height. David Diaz became the WBC lightweight champion after beating Joel Casamayor last February 20, 2007. David also defeated the Mexican great boxer Eric Morales last August 4, 2007 on a unanimous decision.
David Diaz current record ( 34 WINS, 17 Wins by KO, Losses 1, Draws 1 ). He was scheduled to fight on Manny Pacquio this coming June 28, 2008 in Las Vegas. David says "This is the biggest fight of my life. Bigger than when I won the title. Even bigger than beating a legend like Morales" We will post more infos about David Diaz soon..

Manny Pacquio wants to create a history
Filipino boxing Icon Manny Pacquiao wants to make a history by succeeding in his quest to win again for the fourth world title challenge against World Boxing Council light weight champion David Diaz.
Pacquio said, “It’s very important to me and my country to put my name into boxing history.”
Manny Pacquio doesnt mind the critiques that he lost some of his powerful punch and speed due to moving up his weight from 130 lbs upto 135lbs.

Manny Pacquio is ready for the Pacquio - Diaz fight
Mr. Ed de la Vega had an opportunity to watch Manny Pacquio closely on his sparring with different sparring mates. The speed and the footwork of Manny Pacquio almost perfect with power. Mr. Bubboy Fernandez the trainer of Manny Pacquio said "Handang-handa na si Manny".
People from the ringside can watch but can't take photos, only Philboxing staff was the only group allowed to take photos. Manny looks fresh even after going the full eight rounds of sparring. The Team of Manny Pacquio is scheduled to have a break camp after Manny's sparing day on June 21. (Tomorrow). Manny will going to meet Diaz for the final Presscon in Southern California.

Pacquiao will be billeted as usual, in his favorite suite at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. So far, each time he stays in that suite, he manages to win his fight. Saturday, June 28th for sure will be no different except that he will now go to bed after the fight as the new WBC World Lightweight Champion.
